Bringing ideas to reality requires funding. Delmar Main Street relies on public and private relationships with funders and contributions from individuals.
Delmar Main Street has four committees, which are staffed by volunteers who are community-centric residents, property owners, developers, business owners, nonprofits, and institutional representatives.
We anticipate hiring an executive director within the first three years of operation.
Delmar Main Street was established by a group of residents residing in the neighborhoods north and south of Delmar Blvd.
A key pillar of Delmar Main Street is to identify and remedy causes of racial and economic inequity, reduce gentrification and create opportunities for people of color and women.
Delmar Main Street is registered as a tax-exempt community organization in Missouri. It will obtain IRS 501c3 tax-exempt status later this year.
