About Us

Our Story

Delmar Main Street is excited to be one of three communities selected to pilot National Main Street programming in St.Louis.

With a focus on 4 Pillars to Economic Development: OrganizationDesignsPromotion and Economic Vitality, the National Main Street programs have proved successful in preserving historic properties and generating funding opportunities that are reinvigorating business districts across the country.

Building a Stronger Delmar, Block by Block

Our Mission

The mission of Delmar Main Street is to bring sustainable economic development and historic preservation to the commercial corridor from the City Limit to Taylor. We work to strengthen local businesses, support community investment, and preserve the character of Delmar while helping the corridor grow as a vibrant, welcoming destination.

Our Values

Our values center around innovation, collaboration, advocacy, accessibility, vibrancy, and inclusivity. These principles guide how we partner with businesses, residents, and community stakeholders to support a corridor that feels connected, equitable, and full of opportunity for the people who live, work, visit, and invest here.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create people-centered places that promote entrepreneurship, equitable development, and long-term community pride along the Delmar corridor. Through historic preservation and strategic investment, we aim to reframe the narrative of Delmar into reimagined commercial districts that are vibrant, active, and built for shared success.

The 4 Pillar
Approach

The Main Street Approach™ offers community-based revitalization initiatives with a practical, adaptable framework for downtown transformation that is easily tailored to local conditions. The Main Street Approach helps communities get started with revitalization, and grows with them over time.
